Eagle Business: Jeff Kennedy, Moe’s Original BBQ
Assessment Findings: Need to remove all of the high wattage (65 watt) flood/track lights that had plagued both locations with continual replacement and maintenance.
Energy Efficiency Project: By working with Energy Smart Colorado, Moe’s was able to find a high quality replacement LED light that only uses 1/6 of the power (10 watt) and replace all 56 track lights at both locations.
Resource Savings: By saving 15,553 kWH/year, Moe’s is not only decreasing their carbon footprint but also saving on their utility bills!
Benefit: After completing this project, Moe’s BBQ was not only satisfied with the improved light output and performance of the LED’s but also with the signifigant energy savings! By utilizing both Holy Cross Energy and Energy Smart rebates, Moe’s only needed to pay for 50% of the project costs!
“When you think about the life expectancy of the LED bulb being 25,000 hours instead of 2,000 for a normal incandescent, and a 1/6 of the energy use, the savings add up quickly.” — Russell White
